Clinical Therapist/CMH
The program and services offered in collaboration with BWCIL and Community Mental Health of St. Clair County for developmentally disabled adults provide a network of advocacy, linkage, referrals, and education to promote self-determination, independent living options and choices, vocational exploration, and the optimum use of State/Federal and community resources to achieve these personal and individual goals.
Assistive Technology
BWCIL provides staff training and consumer demonstrations of various low-tech assistive technology devices for people with disabilities or older adults. The program is called “small changes BIG DIFFERENCES” and is offered through the Michigan Disability Rights Coalition. The trainings and demos provide hands-on opportunities to test devices for their use, along with resource lists for purchasing these items.
